Restoration Passage is a resource for navigating the passages of life …
What if someone offered you the promise of living an abundant life, victory over adversity, provision when resources are limited, wisdom when decisions are difficult, strength in face of painful circumstances, peace in the midst of despair, comfort while enduring grief, hope when all seems lost … to live in the world where all things are possible? Would you choose to accept it? This is not a promise of escaping adversity, painful circumstances, limited resources, despair or grief, but an offer of companionship through the passage. In reality, navigating the passages of life is like swimming upstream against the current.
I believe that mistakes can be redeemed, broken relationships can be restored, each life can be rebuilt and every soul can be renewed. I believe because I have lived it. I learned from my own life experiences and gained wisdom from those in my life’s path. For this reason, I choose to invest in the lives of others from the abundant resources I received … to listen, empathize, encourage, and inspire.
“From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded. And from the one trusted with much, much more
will be expected.”
—Luke 12:48 (NCV)
Restoration Passage is a refuge for prayer …
The power of prayer is greatly underestimated because the spiritual side of our world is not well understood. Prayer is most often requested of me when people are in great distress over undesirable circumstances or when a decision with long-term consequences needs to be made. For me, prayer consists of an ongoing conversation with God about every little thing in my life. The bigger challenges are when the big things come—then we need the help from others through prayers.
“And you can help us with your prayers. Then many people will give thanks for us—that God blessed us
because of their many prayers.”
—2 Corinthians 1:11 (NCV)
Restoration Passage is a starting point for reconciliation …
True forgiveness involves releasing an offense against you and making a conscious choice not to retaliate or carry a grudge. Only God can provide the appropriate consequences to right any wrongs done to us. Holding on to bitterness and resentment against someone else only hurts us and prevents healing. Our role is to forgive as we have been forgiven, which implies supernatural assistance from God is necessary first.
“Be kind and loving to each other, and forgive each other just as God forgave you in Christ.”
—Ephesians 4:32 (NCV)
Restoration Passage is forum for reflection …
The pace of our society probably does not allow much time for quiet reflection or meditation. Most of my clients have experienced circumstances that have forced them to change or stop something they used to do on a regular basis. They are forced to face their pain and accept responsibility for their own choices. In order to have different results in their lives, they must learn to do different things.
“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are
many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who
find it.”
—Matthew 7:13-14 (NKJV)
Restoration Passage is a training platform for study and learning …
Utilizing services from Restoration Passage requires personal study and discipline with time, resources, and relationships. Mentoring and coaching give clients the motivation or challenges needed to gain insight or promote spiritual growth. As you might have guessed the main text for all study and training within Restoration Passage is scripture.
“All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for showing people what is wrong in their lives,
for correcting faults, and for teaching how to live right.”
—2 Timothy 3:16 (NCV)
